We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in the Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that when God created the universe, it was good. But Adam’s disobedience subjected creation under the dominion of sin. As a result of God’s judgment, Adam’s sin was passed down to his descendants – that is, all of humanity – and sin’s effects reverberate throughout creation through evil, injustice and death.
We believe that as a result of the Fall, every human being – with one exception – is a sinner by nature and therefore deserving of God’s eternal and just wrath and condemnation.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, and that he became a human being through his virgin birth without suffering any loss of his divine nature. Through his perfect life, sacrificial death and bodily resurrection he atoned for the sins of all who will trust in him, alone, for salvation.
We believe that God offers salvation solely on the basis of his grace, and that it is received through faith alone in Jesus Christ rather than by any human merit.
We believe that the Holy Spirit brings new life to the sinner who will believe, and that after conversion he indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow him.
We believe the Church is comprised of all genuine believers who are united together as the body of Christ, of which he is the Head.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that these ordinances should be observed and administered until he returns.
We believe that God calls the Church to active obedience to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Believers should be committed to impacting their world by sharing the gospel through their words, deeds, and presence.
We believe that Christians should be committed to the Cultural Mandate, cultivating a world which reflects God’s beauty and his good purposes for creation both in their local contexts and around the world. Believers should love and serve people in their respective communities wherever they are while supporting fellow Christians who are doing likewise.
We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all men and women and to receive his people to himself.
We believe in the bodily resurrection from the dead – the believer will rise to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord, and the non-believer will rise to judgment and eternal, conscious punishment.
We believe that the return of Christ, the resurrection from the dead, and the final judgment will mark the conclusion of God’s plan to restore humanity and creation from sin. Evil, injustice, and death will be forever banished, and righteousness, justice, and life will reign.
We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
