Lydia was born and raised in the St. Louis area and felt the need to spread her wings and cross the Mighty Mississippi to attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an endorsement to teach English as a Second Language. She has had the pleasure of teaching 4th grade in Urbana and ESL in Arlington Heights for 4 years before hanging up her teacher hat to raise her 3 girls. Lydia loves being married to her husband, Ken, and considers it a great privilege to be mom to 3 sweet girls – Faith, Naomi & Chaeli. In addition to serving at RCC as an administrative assistant, she also serves as a deacon and Women’s Ministry Coordinator.
In her spare time, Lydia enjoys reading, staying physically active, volunteering, watching movies and spending quality time with her friends and family.
